C.A. Church over at The Roaming Drone wrote up an incredibly detailed guide on using the Taos TSL230R Light Sensor with an Arduino. For those not familiar with the Arduino, it is an open-source prototyping board based on the Atmel ATmega168 microcontroller (more: website , datasheet) that makes getting started in "physical computing" easy. When I first saw the TSL230R over at SparkFun, I was itching to buy a few to play with, but the datasheet for the chip didn't inspire me. With the guide at The Roaming Drone in hand, I'll be putting the chip back in my cart. Photo: SparkFun Electronics |
